Young men and young women leaders in each ward will review with youth what to bring and how it should be packed properly. The items are as follows:
Warm sleeping bag,
air mattress or foam,
pillow,
groundsheet,
flashlight,
extra blanket/fireside blanket,
mesh bag,
camp chair (which will be used only in ward camps).
Journal and pen
Two pairs of comfortable shoes, you may be crossing a river, so prepare for getting your shoes wet.
Water shoes
two Book of Mormon–style costumes (must be knee-length)
satchel (sized to hold water bottle, book of Mormon, journal and pen)
modest shorts/leggings/sweatpants to go underneath your costume (enough for three days)
T-shirts (short or long sleeve to wear under your costume)
enough Underwear and socks for three days (extra socks may be a good idea),
scarf-type head covering,
pajamas,
warm coat and toque,
rain gear/poncho/small umbrella, mud boots if rain is in the forecast,
flashlight/headlamp,
small garbage bag or laundry bag for dirty clothing,
toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, other personal hygiene items,
water bottle (make sure it’s labeled),
soap, shampoo, towel, washcloth, deodorant, disposable washcloths for personal hygiene,
sunscreen and lip balm,
insect repellent,
hand sanitizer,
necessary medication (please advise ward leaders of this).
We will be supplying everyone with disposable dishes and cutlery for each meal.
